The "Directional Ultrasonic Beacon" achieves high precision within an error margin of 1 meter (measured internally) by using directional ultrasonic waves, compared to conventional beacons that use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth(R). It outputs high-frequency ultrasonic waves that cannot be captured by regular microphones, but by modulating the signal, it can be detected by the microphones of standard smartphones (with some exceptions).
